With an initial investment of 200 million dollars, a business group headed by @Abrisa, in collaboration with @Leadin Aviation, @Eurocontrol and @Efebearquitectura, will begin the construction of Bavaro International Airport, in the Dominican Republic.

The project received the Airport Commission’s approval on January the 23rd, 2020, and is projected to receive 2.5 million passengers annually in the first phase; in the second phase the forecast is four million, up to eight million passengers annually.

The airport will be built on an area of approximately 600 hectares, initially with a 3,100 metre runway, oriented 84° with respect to geographic north, almost parallel to the direction of the dominant winds.
