AENA will invest €1,571 million in Barajas airport until 2026, with the main objective of increasing its capacity to 80 million passengers, 10 more than at present.

The following remodeling actions stand out: the extension of the departure hall and the modernization of the luggage collection rooms in T1; new equipment in the check-in and boarding areas — a project developed by fbarquitectura in collaboration with Incosa — the extension of security filters in T1 and T2, and the modernization of finishes and qualities in the three terminals’ boarding areas.
