Relay at Tenerife South Airport is a travel retail project developed for Lagardère Travel Retail. The store is located in the airport’s non-Schengen area. It covers a total area of 370.58 m².
The new space represents an evolution of the Relay concept. It brings retail and food & beverage together within a single store. In this way, the concept expands the brand’s traditional approach and adapts it to the airport environment.
Detailed design and construction management
FB arquitectura developed the detailed design and provided construction management services. Our work included the technical development of the project and supervision during construction. In addition, our involvement extended from the preparation of the technical documentation through to the completion of the space.
The project was developed within an airport environment. Therefore, its execution had to respond to the specific conditions of this type of space. A continuous flow of passengers is an inherent feature of this context. Likewise, the commercial activity forms part of an operational airport infrastructure.
Architectural Project Development for Relay at Tenerife South Airport
The project began in March 2026 and was completed in May 2026. During this period, FB arquitectura developed the detailed design and provided construction management services. Our involvement therefore covered both the technical definition of the project and the supervision of its execution.
Its location corresponds to the final stage of the passenger journey before boarding. Its 370.58 m² accommodate the different uses that form part of the new Relay concept.
Travel retail in the airport environment
The project brings to life the concept developed by Lagardère Travel Retail for this store. At the same time, it adds to FB arquitectura’s portfolio of travel retail and airport commercial space projects.
AOCSA was responsible for construction. Finally, the project was completed in May 2026.
